The reason why we're moving into a virtual world

Before we take a deep dive into this, let's start by explaining what a virtual world is. A virtual world is a computer-based online community environment that is designed and shared by individuals so that they can interact in a custom-built, simulated world. Users interact with each other in this simulated world using text-based, two-dimensional or three-dimensional graphical models called avatars.

Today's virtual worlds are purpose-built for entertainment, social, educational, training and various other purposes.

What about our world? Is it virtual? According to the philosopher David Hume, all human knowledge stems from perception rather than reason. We gather information through sight, smell, sound, touch and taste. Using this input, our brains interpret the world around us and create the experience of what we call reality.

The question becomes "Why is this perceived reality mutating into virtuality?" We may not be considered a virtual reality yet, but we are living with virtual reality and it is in the nature of a human to adapt based on its surroundings.

"The reason why there's more anxiety in the system now and not less, is because we're all living our lives on public forums and now we're taking on more judgment, not less." These were the words said by one of our colleagues directly engaged in the discussion of this subject.

Like we said, it is in human nature to adapt. Having come to the conclusion that we live with virtual reality, it is only a matter of time before we see it as an escape for our depressed and anxious state.
